Pastor Jeff’s Newsletter Article

“Shout triumphantly to the Lord, all the Earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Acknowledge that the Lord is God. He made us and we are His – His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with Thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good, and His love is eternal; His faithfulness endured through all generations.” Psalm 100

As we were preparing for this year, I had been praying about the direction which God wanted us to pursue. I prayed through each ministry and asked God to show me a general sense of what He wanted to do.

He gave a very clear answer to this. I really had a sense this was going to be a year of transition. There were going to be some changes which were going to take place which was to prepare us for the future. And just like any kind of change, it was going to be challenge for us to endure.

And oh, what changes have happened. From hiring a new Pastor of Students, adding deacons, updating policies, adding new members, revamping ministries, raising up new leaders, and many other small but significant changes, we have seen God transform us. Through it all, we have tried to seek God’s guidance every step of the way.

So during this month of thankfulness, I am so thankful you have embraced God’s call and joyfully followed His direction. I am so thankful God is working among us to better reach our community. I am so thankful for the support you give to our leaders to enable them to fulfil the call of God on their lives. I am so thankful you give so generously in order to support the ongoing work in the church. I am so thankful for the love and care you show each other and me in tough and difficult circumstances. I am so thankful for you.

With just a few more months left to go, I am already looking forward and praying through 2020. But for now, be thankful.

Following Him,

Jeff
