Adding to the Calendar

Over the past few months so many things have been crossed off the calendar. That’s why it’s so exciting to FINALLY be writing things on the calendar again! (Of course, we’re writing in pencil because we don’t know what the future holds, but it’s still exciting.)

Here are a few things we are looking forward to…

  • Sunday, June 7- Church is open! The deacons and pastors have met and prayed and come to the decision that we will open church fully (including Sunday School & Sunday nights) with health guidelines provided. Sunday School & Worship Services will continue to be streamed online because we realize that many people must continue to stay home. So however you chose to do so, we hope you will join us each Sunday!
  • Wednesday, June 10- Business Meeting @ 7pm. We have lots of business to talk about since we’ve been away for so long!
  • June 15-19 our Youth Group will be going on a private retreat at Rehoboth Camp. This will be a fun time for our students to make some memories, get outside their houses and grow deeper in their walk with the Lord. Contact Pastor Andrew for details.
  • Summer Lunch program resumes! We will once again be providing pbj sandwiches and sack lunches for the kids in our community every Thursday in July & August (the school is covering the month of June this year). We need donations of peanutbutter & jelly as well as individually wrapped snacks for kids. Volunteers are also needed to make sandwiches and hand out lunches at the park. Contact the church to sign up or get more details.
  • July 19-25 tentative rescheduled dates for the Youth Mission Trip to Dayton, Ohio. This is definitely written in pencil as we don’t know what the requirements and safety issues will be in Dayton this far in advance. But every effort is being made to not cancel the mission trip if at all possible.
  • August 3-7 Vacation Bible School! Our theme this year is SEA LIFE: Finding Life by the Sea. Kids in preschool through 6th grades are invited to join Peter as He gets to know Jesus by the Sea of Galilee in this original study. We are moving forward with planning VBS in the way we normally have it, but are working on backup plans so we’re prepared as things in our state are still uncertain. Contact Stephanie ([email protected]) to be part of this fun ministry!

Our mission is to know Christ and make Him known in Ramsey and around the world. So while travel is restricted and many normal plans have changed, we are still working to accomplish the mission God has given us as a church. We hope you will pray for us and join us in this mission!
