Blessed

“A generous person will be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor.” Proverbs 22:9

There can be no doubt in anyone’s mind here at FBC Ramsey, that God has truly blessed us. We have seen Him provide time and time again without fail. These blessings go beyond just simply the physical or the monetary, but spiritually as well. The Lord has given us more than enough to reach Ramsey for His Kingdom and His sake.

You have often heard me say, over and over, that we are always blessed in order that we can be a blessing to someone else. God’s blessing never stops with us. We are just the middleman in the work as He seeks and saves the lost. So, it is time we put those words to practice.

When Covid hit us in March of 2020, we had to take a step back from some of the work we had been doing. The isolation, social distancing, and care for each other made us reevaluate how we did ministry and how we shared the message. It was necessary and beneficial in many regards as we got out of our comfort zones and sparked new and creative ways to make Him known.

Now, although Covid is still around, there is a renewed sense of freedom and a desire to return to closeness to each other and opportunities for us to reach out in more effective ways. So that is what we are going to do.

In our last business meeting, the church decided it was time to use the abundant blessings which God has provided to become more intentional about reaching Ramsey, Illinois, and the world with the message of the Gospel. We set up a team to evaluate, pray and gather ideas and develop a strategy to accomplish this task. Note: It is not their task to do all the work, but it is their task to collect and formulate a plan for ALL of US to join in and do the work.

I really believe our best and brightest days are ahead of us. I am excited about what God is doing in our midst and cannot wait to see what He has in store for us. I know He wants to use all of us to accomplish this. So, we need your ideas to reach out, to see the needs you see, to pray together, and be unified around this mission. And when we do that, We will KNOW Him as we make HIM known.

Following Him,

Jeff
