The month of April has been full of ups and downs. The stay-at-home order was extended, and our plans for the month were squashed. So many activities had to be canceled. It was quite depressing.
But then God made a way for us to celebrate Easter together in a very unusual way! What a joy it was to see all of your faces and to honk in celebration of our Risen Savior! (click here for pictures!)
And now God has sparked some creative ideas for the end of the month of April: we are hosting our first ever Online Dessert Auction to raise money for the Youth Mission Trip! (Do we know if the youth will get to go on their mission trip this summer? We have no idea what the summer holds… but we want to be ready to move whenever God lets us go!)
The Youth Dinner & Dessert Auction fundraiser is one of our favorite annual events! The chicken and noodles, the friendly competition, the delicious desserts… all of it combine to make up a fun time that benefits our goal of doing missions in Ramsey and around the world. But this year we cannot meet in person. Does that mean we have to cancel completely? Absolutely not! We have moved the Dessert Auction ONLINE!
On Saturday, April 25th we will host an online auction LIVE on Facebook from 6pm to 8pm. Our church bakers have generously donated over 35 desserts, and we hope that many of you will be generous in buying them! We realize that not everyone has access to Facebook, and we’re sorry that we couldn’t find a better platform for this event. However, we still have the second half of the fundraiser- the Chicken & Noodle Dinner! As soon as we have permission to open the doors of the church building, we will be having that dinner IN PERSON! Everyone will be invited to participate in fellowship and generosity as well!
As we finish up the month of April we also want to encourage you to keep being the church! We will continue collecting for the Annie Armstrong Easter offering for state & local missions through the end of the month. We are also doing a diaper shower for Baby Amelia, the new granddaughter of Jay & Laura Hill. You can drop your donations off at the church during office hours (Mon-Fri 8am to noon). These special gifts are so encouraging and greatly appreciated!
