The Youth Dessert Auction was held online on Saturday, April 25. Hosting this event in person is usually one of our favorite things, and it was disappointing to not be able to have this annual fundraiser as usual this year. So we decided to try hosting the auction online… figuring it would at least be better than nothing. And boy what an auction it was!
Our church bakers donated thirty-six desserts for the auction and each item was posted on a special Facebook event. The bidding opened up at 6pm and by 6:15 the numbers were rising fast! By the time the two hour auction was over, all the desserts had been sold, several people had been flagged as spammers by Facebook, and tons of laughs had been had in friendly competition.
And over $2600 was raised for the Youth Mission Trip!
Wow! God is so faithful! It’s amazing what He is able to do through His people! Thank you for your generosity! As Pastor Andrew and the youth and parents delivered the desserts to the winners, they received even more donations! And more have been brought by the church this week as well! God has used you to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we could ask or imagine!
